In the context of high dependency on fossil fuels, strong efforts aiming to shift towards a more sustainable world are having significant economic and political impacts. The electricity market is now encouraging prosumers consume their own production, thus reduce grid exchanges. Self-consumption can be increased using storage systems or rescheduling loads. This effort involves not only residential but also industrial ones. process an optimisation problem that effectively solved with evolutionary algorithms (EAs). this paper, specific procedure for bridging demand-side management from theoretical application practical scenario was introduced. particular, toroidal correction used in differential evolution aim preventing local minima worsening effectiveness proposed method. Moreover, achieve reasonable solutions, two different cost contributions have been considered: energy labour cost. method tested real data historical textile factory, Ratti S.p.A.
